Luis González Garrido is a saxophonist who has captured the attention of the music world thanks to “extraordinary skills in terms of tone quality, expressiveness… and his high technical proficiency,” according to composer Carmen Verdú. From childhood onward, he has accumulated awards and honors, winning a total of ten First Prizes in prestigious competitions such as the III AlpenClassica International Saxophone Competition, the III International Saxophone Competition of Gran Canaria, and the INAEM and Colegio de España in Paris Music Performance Prize. In 2025, he was named an Adami Classique Talent.

Born in Utrera (Seville) in 1997, he discovered his passion for music at the age of eight. His journey took him from his hometown to Seville and San Sebastián, and then to Paris, where he continued his studies at the conservatories in Versailles, Paris, and Brussels. There, he earned several master’s degrees in saxophone, chamber music, and musicology. His insatiable creative drive also led him to study composition, analysis, harmony, and counterpoint—a deep artistic exploration, particularly after meeting his mentor Vincent David, who says: “Luis González has great technical mastery of his instrument and great musical flexibility.”

Luis González’s musical journey has taken him to many iconic venues across Europe: the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, the Auditorium du Petit Palais in Paris, and the Teatros del Canal in Madrid. He has been invited to festivals such as “Les Nuits dans les Jardins de l’Alcazar Royal” in Seville, the Festival Européen Jeunes Talents in Paris, and SummerWinds in Germany.

His repertoire spans a wide range, from early music to Romantic-era transcriptions to contemporary compositions. He collaborates with composers such as Joan Magrané, Félix Ibarrondo, Carmen Verdú, Álex Nante, and Orlando Bass. Flamenco, deeply rooted in his Sevillian heritage, is also a constant in his life: from a young age, he has participated in recordings and concerts with local artists and collaborated with companies such as those led by David Coria, David Lagos, and Úrsula López. Since 2024, he has also been working regularly with dancer and choreographer Rubén Molina on projects that blend tradition with contemporary creation.

Curious and dedicated, he also takes part in classical and contemporary dance performances, theatrical productions, cabaret shows, and musicals. For him, interdisciplinarity is a constant source of inspiration and a driving force for expanding his artistic expression. A passionate chamber musician, Luis González has performed with numerous musicians, including Orlando Bass, Karen Kuronuma, Nadja Dornik, Pavel Efremov, Joë Christophe, and Yakir Arbib. Together with French guitarist Antoine Guerrero, he forms the Duo Métis, whose artistic chemistry has led them to perform throughout France and Spain.

He is currently preparing to leave a musical mark on his career with two recording projects: GENESIS, a duo with pianist Orlando Bass, and another album with the Duo Métis. Sharing his love for music and the saxophone is essential to him. He began teaching at a very young age and served as a saxophone instructor in Courdimanche (France) for two years. Today, he gives masterclasses in France, Spain, and Italy—at festivals such as the AlpenClassica Sax Festival, as well as at conservatories—while also working with a group of regular students. For Luis González, cultural outreach is an essential way to forge a genuine connection with society.

He places great importance on connecting with the audience during his concerts and actively participates in music outreach initiatives. He collaborates with Les Concerts de Poche, Jeunes Talents, and the Tournesol association, bringing music to audiences of all kinds and ensuring that everyone feels like an active participant in the musical experience. Laurent Bureau, founder of Jeunes Talents, notes: “His performances have always been marked by exceptional artistic quality, and his excellent rapport with the audience has led us to invite him on numerous occasions,” making him one of the most frequently booked artists in the association’s history. Luis González has thus brought his music to a wide variety of settings—concert halls and festivals, as well as hospitals, nursing homes, and correctional facilities—with the goal of democratizing music and making it accessible to everyone.

He is an ambassador for Henri Selmer Paris saxophones, JLV Sound ligatures, and D’Addario WoodWinds reeds. Caroline Esposito, a pianist and professor at the CNSMDP and the CRR in Versailles, describes him as “a refined musician who is attentive and always seeking the most authentic musical expression….”

Antoine Guerrerowas born in Bordeaux in 1996. From a very early age, the guitar became a natural choice for him, a means of self-expression. From Spain to France, from competitions to the stage, he has carved out a unique path, guided by a desire to evoke emotion and share his art.

A winner oftwelve international awards, he has won, notably,First Prize at the Pleven International Competition(Bulgaria, 2020) andSecond Prize at the Paris International Guitar Competition(2021). In 2026, he was namedanAdami Classical Talent. His performances have taken him to prestigious venues such as theSala Filarmonica in Trento, theReales Alcázares in Seville, theThéâtre de la Ville in Valence(France), and theTeatro Viriato in Viseu(Portugal).

Trained inSeville and Paris, he earned the highest honors at theConservatorio Superior de Música de SevillaunderFrancisco Bernier(Bachelor’s degree in performance), before joiningOlivier Chassain’sclass atthe Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he continued his studies from 2021 to 2023, earning a master’s degree in performance.

In 2024, he released*Couleurs du XXe siècle*(Da Vinci Classics), his debut album, which reflects his deep appreciation for the richness and aesthetic appeal of the repertoire from the last century.

With a keen interest incontemporary composition, Antoine is also embracing today’s music by collaborating with several composers. Notably, he will work withNicolas Bacri at the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival in 2025, as well as withFabien WakmanandGabriel Field, whose Suite for Guitar he will premiere in 2026. In 2026, he will record the guitar works of Belgian composerHerman Schamp.

Antoine is also very active as a chamber musician. In Paris, he founded theDuo Métiswith saxophonistLuis González, an ensemble that received early support from Jeunes Talents and LesConcerts de Poche. Their collaboration has taken them to numerous festivals in France and Spain, includingLa Folle Journée in NantesandMúsica en Segura, as well as to schools, hospitals, and rural areas—places where music can make a difference in unique ways.
