Unanimously acclaimed for their artistic and sonic symbiosis, David Salmon and Manuel Vieillard are considered one of the most promising duos of their generation.
In 2019, they were awarded 2nd prize at the International Schubert Competition for piano duet in the Czech Republic, and 1st prize and audience prize at the Monaco International 4-Handed Piano Competition. In 2021, they won first prize at the ARD Munich International Competition, a true consecration for the piano duo, as well as 5 special prizes.
In 2024, their projects include playing Poulenc's Concerto for Two Pianos with the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France/Ainars Rubikis in the Salle Pierre Boulez at the Philharmonie de Paris, Mozart's Concertos for 2 & 3 Pianos with the Orchestre National de Lille/Alexander Bloch, and a debut with Frankfurt's HR-Sinfonieorchester in Saint-Saëns' Carnaval des Animaux.
Recital appearances include the Berlin Philharmonic, Berlin Konzerthaus, Hamburg ElbPhilharmonie, Hanover NDR Funkhaus and Düsseldorf Robert-Schumann Saal, as well as La Seine Musicale, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Festival International de la Roque d'Anthéron, Bozar Brussels, Piano à Lyon, Folle Journée de Nantes and Folle Journée du Japon.
