The text, a fantasy
On the face of it, what could be more difficult to understand than dreams? Especially those of children, who are awakened by intuition rather than experience...
And yet! Irrational in essence, dreams can be expressed through artistic creation, and music obviously seems the most suitable medium, due to its immateriality and spontaneity.
That's why we've set out to cohabit and merge these two modes of expression through an unconventional narrative scheme that is, on the contrary, deliberately offbeat and, only in appearance, illogical. Indeed, dreams are not logical, and therein lies part of their charm and mystery...
Music, an adventure
Music has a natural place in Chut, les enfants rêvent.
She invites us on a dreamlike journey where our two mischievous accomplices, a viola and a cello, have fun with joyful, childlike scores. Composers Béla BARTÓK and Antonio CARLOS JOBIM weave the link between dreams and poetry.
With lyrical singing, sanza, puppets and contemporary arrangements, young spectators can discover a rich universe of music and sounds.
