mathilde salvi flaneries musicales de reims

It was in the ranks of her village band that Mathilde developed her taste for music. From then on, orchestral and, by extension, chamber music were to play a key role in her artistic life. After studying at the conservatories of Besançon and Cergy-Pontoise, she entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she obtained a master's degree in performance and a master's degree in pedagogy.

Parallel to her studies, she joined the Osmose saxophone quartet. To promote her instrument's original repertoire, she founded the DéMa duo with pianist Marion Julien. The duo Amasis, created with cellist Lucie Chevillard, and the duo Nomade, formed with clarinettist Silvestre Courtois, enable her to explore a wide variety of works, from the
baroque repertoire to contemporary music.

In 2025, Mathilde joined the Saxback ensemble, continuing her quest for new sound experiences.

As a soloist, Mathilde has already performed with prestigious ensembles such as the Orchestre d'harmonie de la Garde Républicaine and the Orchestre Pasdeloup.

Faithful to her origins, she regularly collaborates with the wind bands of Nevers, Amiens, Tonnerre and Troyes. Her first album, "Origines", recorded with the Brassage orchestra conducted by Laurent Douvre, is a tribute to all the amateur bands and their musicians, who tirelessly and passionately make their instruments vibrate.

Mathilde holds a Certificat d'Aptitude aux fonctions de professeur de saxophone, and teaches at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental d'Auxerre. She also trains tomorrow's professionals at the Ecole Supérieure de Musique de Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
