Biography of Jean Nadrigny

Jean Nadrigny was born in 2005 and began studying piano through private lessons at the age of 5.
At age 7, he entered the Pamiers Conservatory to study piano with Jeanne Villa and organ with Stéphane
Bois.
At age 12, he entered the Toulouse Regional Conservatory (CRR) to study piano with Thierry Huillet and organ with Stéphane
Bois. During his schooling, he joined Franc Saint-Paul’s composition class and Eloise Urbain’s
accompaniment class.
At the same time, he served as organist at Montastruc-la-Conseillère and accompanist for the
choir at the Verfeil middle school.
He also participates in international piano competitions such as the Cognac Competition in 2019, where
he won second prize; the Flame Competition in 2022, where he won the Grand Prix; and the Collioure Competition
in 2023, where he won second prize.
In 2019, he received his music theory diploma with highest honors; in 2022, his diplomas in
piano, organ, and accompaniment, all three awarded highest honors unanimously, with
special commendations from the jury for the piano diploma.
In 2023, he earned his chamber music prize with high honors, performing in a
piano quintet, and was accepted into the CPES composition program but did not pursue that course of study because he
entered the CNSMDP that same year to study piano in Denis Pascal’s class.
Since then, he has continued his studies at the CNSM, also pursuing chamber music with various
ensembles (trios, duos, quartets), and broadening his horizons through different options such as the harpsichord or
jazz.
