A little violin grows into a big one
Four strange characters fish patiently on the shore of a lake. Suddenly, a violin bursts from the water. Then a young girl, Rigoletta, appears and sings from night to morning.
The fishermen entrust her with the four-stringed infant, and with a mission: to find musical notes to help it grow.
From this crack in reality, the improbable and the poetic are born. The violin grows and the young girl becomes a real mother. With the help of some illustrious composers, played by a string quartet, who join forces to give her all her splendor.
This is not, however, a tale of initiation in the usual sense of the term. Although it traces the stages of a child's life through a violin, the show is above all playful and warm, in homage to the fabulist Jean de La Fontaine who inspired its title.
Following the show, a fun and playful presentation of the string family allows children to discover the secrets of each instrument: the violin, viola and cello.
