Furiant

Sarasate and Ravel are Basque. Ravel and Gershwin admired each other and met. Gershwin and Bartók just missed each other in New York. If the former was born there, the latter died. Lucas Henri is passionate about American music in all its forms, its history and the music of Maurice Ravel.

All these artists share a history with this ocean that links old and new continents. They are all in dialogue, singing their culture, in their bare voices or through the violin.

They weave their tunes, patching them together like the original rhapsode, the one who sews ôdes together (from the Greek rhaptein: to tie or adjust by sewing / ôdê: song).
